CIBS Announces Its Rutgers Scholarship Winner 

Lauren Salus, a junior in the Packaging Engineering program, received the 2025 CIBS Richard Krieg Scholarship at the Rutgers Packaging Career Fair.

The Cosmetic Industry Buyers and Suppliers (CIBS) announced Lauren Salus, a junior in the Packaging Engineering program at Rutgers University, as the recipient of the 2025 CIBS Richard Krieg Scholarship. 

Named in honor of 1983 CIBS President Richard Krieg, who was in attendance, this award was formally presented on stage at the Rutgers Packaging Career Fair by Professor Sebba Alqetrani, CIBS Scholarship Chair.

Sebba Alqetrani, said, 

“Lauren exemplifies the next generation of packaging leaders. Her drive, curiosity, and dedication to the craft make her an outstanding representative of what CIBS aims to support.”

Salus’s application stood out due to her exceptional academic record, highlighted by a perfect 4.0 Packaging GPA, and her ambitious focus on sustainable cosmetic packaging. 

Dedicated to innovation, Lauren is actively seeking co-op and internship opportunities within the dynamic New York/New Jersey beauty sector to advance her career in packaging engineering.
